Dear Mr. Vaughn,
Happy 80th birthday! Thanks for all the great performances you’ve given us—from “Teen-Aged Caveman” to “Coronation Street,” they’ve all given us insights into your personality and shown us the range of your acting chops.
Personally, Napoleon Solo and Major Paul Kreuger have always been my favorites, but Albert Stroller is just so darned wonderful, sigh.
I got to meet you backst...age after seeing, “The Exonerated,” off-Broadway (flew out to Jersey from Illinois to do so) and, let me tell you, I didn’t need the airplane to fly back! Thanks for being so kind to a fan who was clearly gob-smacked to meet you in person. The picture of us together is my computer wallpaper. I smile every time I see it. Sigh, again.
I’ll raise a glass today at our Thanksgiving dinner in honor of your birthday and your life. I, for one, am thankful for your ongoing career and the talent that we all get to share every time Robert Francis Vaughn steps onto a stage.
Cheers!
