TWELVE ANGRY MEN Norwich Theatre Royal*October 21-26, 2013 - Robert Vaughn

Three top film, TV and theatre actors are set to star opposite Martin Shaw in the stage revival of the classic drama Twelve Angry Men, which is heading to Norwich Theatre Royal.

Robert Vaughn, Nick Moran and Jeff Fahey will join the cast of the stage production of the Academy Award-winning movie which takes to the stage in the city on October 21-26.

The production has already been one of the hottest tickets of the season and the addition of three top actors who are known globally is sure to increase anticipation for the play, which is only visiting three venues in the UK before a West End run.

Robert Vaughn, who will play Juror 10 who was portrayed by Ed Begley in the movie, has starred in some of the world’s best-known films including The Magnificent Seven, The Towering Inferno, Bullitt, and The City Jungle for which he was Oscar-nominated. He is also no stranger to the small screen appearing in a number of iconic series including The Man From U.N.C.L.E, The A-Team and played Albert Stroller in the BBC hit Hustle.

Taking on the role of Juror 7 originally played by Jack Warden is Nick Moran. He is best-known on the big screen for playing Eddy the card sharp in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Scabior in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2, and New Blood opposite Norfolk’s own John Hurt, as well as starring in the recent ITV Sunday night hit Mr Selfridge.

12 Angry Men will also star Jeff Fahey, who takes on the role of Juror 3 which was created on the big screen by Lee J Cobb. Jeff has appeared in a host of hit films including cult sci-fi hit The Lawnmower Man, Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse, White Hunter Black Heart opposite Clint Eastwood, and Silverado and Wyatt Earp both opposite Kevin Costner. He has also taken on a wide range of TV roles including helicopter pilot Frank Lapidus in Lost and the title role in The Marshal.

The trio will star opposite the previously-announced Martin Shaw, who is best known for a large number of high-profile TV roles in series including Judge John Deed and Inspector George Gently, as well as highly-acclaimed West End productions like The Country Girl and A Man For All Seasons.

This brand new production aims to pay tribute to the 1957 movie classic which starred Henry Fonda and followed the deliberations of a dozen jurors who have to decide the fate of a young delinquent accused of killing his father.

John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: “The tour’s producer Bill Kenwright has pulled off an incredible casting coup to attract three of the globe’s foremost actors to this highly-anticipated production. They will join Martin Shaw in a play which is going to twist every emotion as well as give patrons the chance to enjoy a world-renowned courtroom thriller on their doorstep before it transfers to the West End.”
